Our comprehensive range of products and services can be tailored to any size and type of library from large city libraries, through reference libraries, to small school ones. We can supply everything from a simple RF library security to full technology solutions, covering both RFID and barcoding with full check in and check out systems.

We also supply many types of labels and tags that are compatible with all standard systems.

RFID (Radio Frequency IDentification) is the latest technology to be used in library theft detection systems. Unlike EM (Electro-Magnetic) and RF (Radio Frequency) systems, which have been used in libraries for decades, RFID-based systems move beyond security to become tracking systems that combine security with more efficient tracking of books and documents through the library.

The elements that become easier include:

  • Checking in and checking out, especially with auto systems as several items can be checked in and out together
  • Shelf stock check - books no longer need to be removed, but can be checked in a single sweep
  • Inventory update - the books are immediately availbale once they have been scanned back into the system
  • Theft detection - there is no need for secondary devices as there is with barcodes and EM systems
